Given your unique space, consider organizing your room to best fit the needs and traffic patterns of your children.
Ask yourself these questions when designing your space:
- What is the purpose of each space in your room?
- Where will quiet places in my room be? Where will louder activities happen?
Consider putting loud and quiet activity spaces in opposite parts of your room. - Where will children do projects that make a wet mess? Where are items that need to stay dry located?
- Where will the children walk and move around the room?
Consider making pathways. - How can I make cozy corners and big open areas for different group sizes?
Consider hanging fabric from the ceiling to define spaces. - What safety precautions do I need to consider?
